Deputy Venue Lead – Woody After School Club

You will be joining us at our established and successful Woodingdean after school club. The Deputy Venue Lead works with and assists the Venue Lead in carrying out their duties, deputising as and when required.

You will work as part of a team of play workers to support the provision of appropriate play and leisure opportunities for children and young people with a wide range of abilities and interests. This means contributing positively in providing safe, fun, creative and challenging activities which will meet the needs of all children and young people attending the projects.

You will provide personal care and support for children and young people with physical/learning disabilities, communication issues and behavioural challenges. You will also help ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the venue and contribute to the development of the team.

What can you expect?

The rate of pay for this role is £10.69 – £11.25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Deputy Venue Lead will work 2.45 – 6.00 pm Monday – Friday during term time.  Further information on working arrangements is in the job description.

We’ll also support you in building your skills and experience by providing regular on-the-job coaching and feedback, as well as offering training.  Additional Holiday Scheme work is also available during school holidays.
