Each of the clubs is registered with Ofsted and all have received 'good' ratings when inspected. Each club runs with a Supervisor and team of playworkers who are offered the opportunity to develop their skills through a mixture of inhouse and external training courses. extratime also employs Zoe Anstey in the role of Training & Development Manager, who works with the Supervisors to ensure smooth running of the clubs, as well as working with Marian and Rebecca on future developments. It is hoped to recruit and train Deputy Supervisors for each club from within the staff teams.

extratime is currently involved in discussions with Mencap to develop their Get Together and Me2 projects. Get Together offers training to volunteers to promote inclusion in currently mainstream play settings and Me2 is a quality assurance programme for play settings working towards inclusion. Both of these projects offer the potential to generate income for extratime in the future, as well as promoting inclusion.

extratime is an organisation that promotes equal opportunities for staff and the children and young people who attend our clubs and playschemes. We always seek to emphasise what can be done, rather than what cannot, encouraging independence and boosting confidence. For parents and carers, we provide a valuable source of respite or give them the opportunity to take up training or employment opportunities. For the children and young people from mainstream school who attend, as well as having a good time, they are learning about children and young people who appear different to themselves, but who just want to have a good time too.
