Inclusion - what does it mean to you?
Parent Carer’s have a chance to have a say!
Your views on inclusion are urgently needed. Please read:
B&H have recently convened the ‘SEN Partnership Board’ which is now responsible for devising, with the help of all stakeholders, a new SEN policy for the whole of the city. It replaces the former ‘SEN Strategy Group’ (pls see list below for who attends). It also oversees the work of the SE7 Pathfinder. As a rep on this board along with Martin Jones (this is the first time parents have been allowed representation at a strategic level for SEN), we will give half termly updates & urge parents & carers to forward their views. This is the first of those updates.
Central to the work of the Partnership Board & crucial to how our children grow up is the need for young people & parents to identify what inclusion means for them. This is absolutely fundamental as it will drive developments within education & health for the foreseeable future.
Definitions &/or views will need to be submitted by Easter either by emailing Martin or Nicola ([email protected] or [email protected]) who are representatives of The Parent and Carer Council (PACC) on the SE7.
We look forward to hearing your views as soon as you can. Many thanks for taking the time to read & participate.
