Are you or any of your family/friends looking for work in the school holidays? If so, look no further! We’re looking for new Play & Youth Workers to join our fabulous teams working at our Holiday Schemes.
Extratime is an award-winning charity providing play and leisure activities for hundreds of children and young people with and without disabilities across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. At Extratime clubs and holiday schemes, children and young people with disabilities, complex medical needs and conditions such as autism, have the specialist support they need to have fun, try new things and make new friends. Families consistently tell us that that Extratime is their life-line. The specialist care we provide broadens horizons for children and young people. For their families, Extratime’s after school clubs and holiday schemes also alleviate some of the extreme pressure of caring for a child with a disability.
Why join us?
You’ll be making a huge difference to children, young people and their families as well as having fun and learning new skills. You’ll enjoy working as part of a great team of Play & Youth Workers that support children and young people aged 4-18 with a diverse range of abilities and interests as they have fun, try new things and make new friends at our Holiday Schemes. You’ll be enthusiastic, creative, energetic, enjoy working in a busy environment and have some experience of working with children and young people, ideally including those with additional needs. The role can include providing personal care and support to the children and young people, for example help with eating/drinking and personal hygiene.
We run holiday schemes in Brighton & Hove and Shoreham-by-Sea during every school holiday apart from Christmas.
What can you expect?
We pay up to £10.05 per hour, depending on your age, experience and qualifications.
We’ll also support you in building your skills and experience by providing on-the-job coaching and feedback, and, subject to availability, training.
How do I apply?
