Sadly we must announce the closure of the Extratime St Luke’s after school club and holiday schemes from the end of this term. We realise this is disappointing news but unfortunately it is unavoidable in these financially challenging circumstances.
Due to new and increasing budget pressure, St. Luke’s School has decided to take the after school club ‘in-house’. This means that from September 2017 the after school club will instead be run by St Luke’s school. Unfortunately, neither Extratime nor St Luke’s will be able to provide holiday play schemes at St Luke’s School; this includes the upcoming summer holiday.
Both Extratime and St. Luke’s have enjoyed our successful eleven year partnership. This development reflects the impact of funding cuts on the school and is not any reflection on the quality and value of Extratime’s club.
We are all very proud of the care we provide and the great feedback we receive from the children and families that use the club.
Extratime and St Luke’s are committed to work together to manage the transition of the after school club to St Luke’s school in the new academic year. We anticipate that the existing team will continue to run the club as usual and are discussing arrangements with them.
Please contact Extratime or St Luke’s School if you have any queries.
