Becky Jenner is one of the founding directors of extratime. Becky has a background in Retail Management and a BA Hons in Business Studies. She is Mum to Rosie, who has Rett Syndrome, and when she realised there was not any childcare or play opportunities where her daughter and her sons could all go together and she could return to work, she decided to explore the possibility of starting one. After meeting Marian, the idea for an after school club became a reality. Becky has since completed a Diploma Level 5 in Managing Children and Young People’s Services.

Marian is mum to Joseph who has severe learning and physical disabilities. She was fortunate enough to meet Becky in 2001 when she had been forced to give up work due to the lack of suitable childcare. Marian worked with Becky to establish extratime as a respected childcare provider and registered charity. She now works part time as the charity’s fundraiser, concentrating on applications to trusts and other grant giving bodies, and arranging fundraising events.

Zoe has been with Extratime since 2004 and now has nearly 20 years experience of working with children and young people with a variety of needs, in a wide range of settings including schools, residential units and play and leisure. Her role involves developing training in many areas of inclusion and further developing the charity as a whole, as well as offering support to mainstream services. She has acheived Level 5 and Level 6 in Leadership and Management, and has her CTLLS qualification as a trainer.

Lisa’s background is in marketing and design having spent a number of years in London working initially in advertising and, latterly, in her own creative services (photography) business. Lisa moved back to her home town of Brighton and after a career break and the birth of her third child, she joined extratime in 2004 on a freelance basis. After two years her position was formalised – thanks to initial funding from the Big Lottery – and she now has administrative responsibilities for play schemes, after school clubs, HR, finance and payroll.

Lisa’s background is formally in the automotive & retail industry, she went on to be the work experience coordinator at Longhill High School for 3 years before joining us in March 2010. She now has administrative responsibilities for the youth schemes based at Crew Club Brighton & Hove YMCA along with staff planning & coordination. Lisa is married with 2 children. Her husband John has been disabled since 2004 when he was diagnosed with transverse myelitis.
