Venue Lead – Hawkins After School Club *Maternity Cover

Would you like to work for an established, award-winning charity that helps children and young people have fun at after school clubs? Could you join our fantastic team and help make a real difference to local children and their families?

Why join us?

We’re looking for a Venue Lead (Maternity Cover) to join our Hawkins After School Club, based in Herons Dale Primary School!

In this role you will be working at our established Hawkins After School Club and will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the after school club and holiday scheme (running every half term, 5 days during Easter and 10 days during summer school holidays). This means ensuring sessions are run smoothly, safely and with the best possible outcomes for the children and young people attending.

You will achieve this by inspiring, leading and managing a team of Play Workers and a Deputy Venue Lead, ensuring the team delivers high quality, fun and creative play and leisure opportunities appropriate for children and young people with a wide range of abilities and interests. This includes providing personal care and support for children and young people with physical/learning disabilities, communication issues and behavioural challenges.

It will be important for you to develop and manage relationships with the local community and venue, raising Extratime’s profile and maximising attendance at the club/holiday scheme. You will also represent Extratime at appropriate agency meetings and will work with the wider Venue Lead team and Senior Venue Lead to ensure all Extratime venues are meeting Outstanding Ofsted standards.
