Extratime Summer Re-Cap
Wow what a brilliant summer! We really do hope that your children and young people enjoyed themselves.
In total we supported over 100 children and young people across our two venues, Portslade Village Centre and Downs View Hollingdean. We also managed to offer just over 270 sessions, which of course is a drop in comparison to previous years however given the current situation we are proud to have been able to provide support to families during these difficult times.
The allocation of sessions and impact of keeping children and young people safe in ‘bubbles’ presented a logistical challenge for the office team and we are very thankful to them for working through this and helping to create a successful scheme!
The venue teams also worked extremely hard throughout the summer to create a safe and welcoming space for your child to relax and most importantly have fun. There were lots of venue based activities, including sensory play, hide and seek, painting and time for your child or young person to enjoy the lovely weather outside.
We were also able to set up our online Extratime & Friends sessions, so your child or young person got to enjoy watching sessions such as music, science, magic and animals!
A big thanks to everyone who helped make our summer scheme possible and we can’t wait to see your children and young people at our term time clubs in September or during our next scheme.
Below are some gorgeous photos of the children and young people at our Woody Play venue, based at Downs View Hollingdean.
