About the role
Building on a strong foundation, the post holder will have an immediate impact on the lives of children with disabilities and their families in Brighton and Hove and West Sussex.
The post is initially for a year to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a senior role, and you will draw on our extensive impact data, personal stories, and image ‘library’ to engage a portfolio of existing and warm supporters, and a pipeline of prospective funders.
To ensure the most efficient use of Extratime’s resources, we prioritise high value fundraising.
The key areas of responsibility will be;
- Writing funding applications to a range of charitable trusts and foundations and other grant making bodies, including local authorities. As the Fundraising Manager you will also respond to other high value fundraising opportunities that arise (e.g. major donors, corporate fundraising or events).
- Working with Extratime colleagues to gather and collate monitoring and evaluation data, personal stories, and images, to present impact reports for funders and partners.
- Line managing a part-time Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser; this is a new role which will support the Fundraising Manager.
About you
You are an exceptional fundraising professional with the skills and experience to lead and manage our established trust fundraising programme. This includes the line management of a new trust fundraising post. You will also have exceptional organisational skills, a passion and talent for writing to influence, outstanding relationship management skills and a comprehensive knowledge of the trust fundraising marketplace. You will be efficient, flexible, and work well on you own and as part of our friendly team.
