Summer 2021 Recap
Wow! What a fun summer that was! 🙂
We really hope that your child/young person enjoyed their time with us over summer and had a great time taking part in the great range of workshops and activities that were provided each day.
There was lots of fun to be had across the four weeks, we had workshop providers such as Albion in the Community keeping everyone active and moving. Sussex Music Workshops giving us singing and music and then after all that excitement there was a chance to relax and unwind with some great yoga sessions from Well Balanced Kids. We also had Gaming Retro-bution, who used to be part of our Gaming Nights giving our Portslade Youth Scheme the chance to play some old school video games!
And if all that wasn’t enough our amazing staff teams were busy running arts & crafts, cooking and messy play sessions to keep your child/young person entertained throughout the day.
We weren’t able to resume our usual trips this year due to the implications of COVID, however we did still take the children/young people to visit local parks, so they were able to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine!
There were of course some challenges with COVID across the scheme. However this was handled brilliantly by the staff teams who continued to closely follow our policies to help keep your child/young person safe and the schemes up and running. We would also like to say a special thank you to families for their understanding and kindness who were affected by the implications of COVID during the scheme.
