Winter Covid-19 Grant
The deadline to apply has now passed.
We know how difficult it has been during Covid-19, for many families, having children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities at home all of or more of the day. We also recognise there are usually added costs of caring for a child with additional needs.
As a result of the campaign run by footballer Marcus Rashford, schools and charities working with families have received funding from Brighton & Hove City Council to help families provide for their children.
If you have struggled financially this winter due to Covid-19, we invite you to apply for a small grant using our online form. This cash grant is designed to help cover the cost of food or heating at this difficult time.
To be eligible for this grant you will be asked to provide evidence of financial hardship, either evidence of benefits you receive or that you are currently applying for. Please note if you are not currently in receipt of benefits but still struggled financially during winter, we would still encourage you to apply.
Once we have assessed your application and evidence, you will be sent a confirmation email with a link asking for your bank details so we can pay you the grant directly.
Please note, Brighton & Hove Covid Winter Grants are limited and these will be issued by us to eligible families on a first come first served basis. The deadline for completing this form is 10am Monday 29th March and payment will be made on the 31st March 2021.
